FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOMES NEEDED!!

On October 16, 2022, we’ll be welcoming Mike into the Fetch + Releash family! As a foster-to-adopt family, you’ll be expected to take him home that same day. You will then have two weeks to get to know your new furry house guest before committing to adoption. At the end of two weeks, if you choose not to move forward with adoption, we simply ask that you continue to provide a safe and loving home until their new forever family can be found.
Each bio was created by our rescue partners based on their interactions with the dogs. Fetch + Releash has a full disclosure policy however we cannot guarantee a dog against parasites or diseases, nor can we guarantee a dog’s nature/behaviour. Many of these dogs are coming directly from the shelter and so you should expect there to be a transitional period. Be prepared to deal with common issues like potty training, leash walking and socialization. Cat and kid safety assessments are often based on their personality and not necessarily on actual interactions.
Where possible, the majority of vetting will be completed prior to coming to Canada, however foster-to-adopt families may be required to travel to our partner vet Mississauga, ON for further vet care.
During your foster-to-adopt trial, you’ll receive the support of a Fetch + Releash mentor to help you through the transition and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Foster-to-adopt families will be required to pay a $200 deposit on the adoption fee and sign our foster-to-adopt waiver in advance. If you choose not to adopt, your $200 will be refunded to you within 30 days of your dog being adopted into a new family provided you see your pup through to adoption. If you choose not to see your dog through to adoption, you will forfeit your deposit.

Mike (aka Mikey) is a happy go lucky guy with tons of love to give!
On the higher end of medium energy, Mike loves going on walks and would also be a great running partner! An active family would be an awesome match for this guy who enjoys an active day and then lots of love and snuggles in the evenings where he can just melt into your arms.
Mike hasn’t been around many children but based on his happy personality and temperament, he would enjoy the company of dog savvy children aged 8+. He needs proper introductions with other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He would need some support in basic training – such as leash, crate and potty but he has a huge amount of potential and would make an excellent family dog!
